All Wired Up: Mirza Teletovic

The NBA season has kicked off and knowing lots of fantasy owners, you’ll all be eager to action your trigger fingers and make a grab at free agents on your waiver wire from the get-go. In these “All Wired Up” posts, which I’ll endeavour to have up daily, I’ll look at the best performances from players who are on the waiver wire in most standard leagues.

Mirza Teletovic – Nets (ESPN 50 percent, Yahoo 36 percent)

Mirza TeletovicMaybe some of his production was due to the fact that Brook Lopez was out with a foot sprain and Mason Plumlee racked up four fouls in 11 minutes, but it was hard to ignore what Mirza Teletovic was able to do in the surprise loss to the Celtics. Teletovic had 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt), six rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes. Couple that with his red-hot finish to last season, where he made 2.5 triples per game in the last 15 games and if you need a deep shooter off the wire, there won’t be many better available than Teletovic. He’s not necessarily a must add in 10 team leagues, but if you are hurting for scoring and three-pointers, he should be snapped up without hesitation.
