Each day after looking back on the games of the day, I will spend a little time having a ‘peek ahead’ of what to look for in the coming day’s games. I will name one player from each position who is likely to exceed their usual production given their upcoming matchup.

Brian Roberts, PG, New Orleans Pelicans @ Cleveland Cavaliers
For a guy who’s sitting on most waiver wires, Roberts is sitting on a prime matchup against the Cavaliers.

Lance Stephenson, SG, Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Lakers
The NBA’s leader in triple doubles, Stephenson is having an All-Star like season and against the Lakers, it wouldn’t surprise to see him get another trip-dub.

Tobias Harris, SF/PF, Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons
Harris was one rebound shy of his third straight double double on Sunday, even putting up a 20/20 game in that run. The Pistons yield a lot of fantasy scores to opposition small forwards to boot.

David West, PF, Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Lakers
West has scored in double digits his last four games, but against the Lakers, he’ll have a chance to put up monster numbers.

Roy Hibbert, C, Indiana Pacers @ Los Angeles Lakers
Hibbert has not been the same guy as the Hibbert that opened up the season on a tear. But there’s no better remedy for an ailing fantasy basketball player than going against the Lakers.

This section highlight players who are available in more than 50% of ESPN leagues and are a decent option if you are looking for a guy to stream in for a day to give you the edge in your matchup.

If you need points: Marco Belinelli, SG, San Antonio Spurs @ Houston Rockets

Belinelli has hit double digits in nine of his last ten games and is set to play more minutes with Kawhi Leonard out injured.

If you need threes: Marco Belinelli, SG, San Antonio Spurs @ Houston Rockets

Over the last month, Belinelli has averaged three triples a game, which would be a great boost to your squad.

If you need rebounds: Al-Farouq Aminu, SF, New Orleans Pelicans @ Cleveland Cavaliers

His rebound numbers have dipped a bit lately, but he is still getting decent minutes and is a chance for double digits most nights, particularly against a Cavalier team missing Anderson Varejao.

If you need assists: Brian Roberts, PG, New Orleans Pelicans @ Cleveland Cavaliers

A starting point guard going against the Cavs is a recipe for fantasy success and while Roberts isn’t the hottest name, his production should still be there.

If you need steals: Iman Shumpert, PG/SG/SF, New York Knicks vs Boston Celtics

Shumpert has been consistently starting and his steals are his best fantasy category. Against a bad Celtics team, he should be able to rack up a few.

If you need blocks: Kyle O’Quinn, PF, Orlando Magic @ Detroit Pistons

Playing 22 minutes a game in the last two weeks with Nikola Vucevic missing with injury, O’Quinn has averaged 1.7 blocks per game. That’s pretty handy.
